Forget Calorie Counting
Why is to forget calorie counting a weight loss tip?
Why can you forget calorie counting and calorie counters? It is not very important how many calories you eat, but WHAT AND HOW MUCH YOU EAT. If you tried hard but can’t lose weight, you will find the cause here. There are lots of diets to lose weight. Some diets to lose weight let you eat everything, but in moderation and therefore you are asked to use a calorie counter and counting the calories of all the food you eat on a daily basis. This takes a lot of time and soon you stop counting calories, the calorie counter is not used anymore and you throw the diet over board.
I have gone through this (many years back): I had paper and pencil in the kitchen, wrote down everything I ate and in the evening I looked up the calories of all I ate. This was quite a lot of work and it was time consuming!!! I did this for several months. And what did it get me at the end? Nothing!
Why can you forget about calorie counting? Calories are not at all as important when it comes to losing weight as you might think, even when you want to lose weight fast.
There are foods which use more energy (= calories) while you are eating them and your body digests them as they have calories. One of those foods is asparagus. You must not count the calories of asparagus, because the process of digestion takes more calories as asparagus has? Eating only asparagus for a few days, you will lose weight. There are foods which are easily digested and do not end on top of your bones (I mean, they do not end in your fat cells).
There are foods, which have not very much calories, though they end up in your fat depots and your fat loss is endangered by eating them. Examples for this are grain products: bread, pasta, noodles, dumplings, beer (yes, beer is made of grains) or most of the 0% fat yoghurts as they have for example sweeteners or starch added, which makes you more fat as all the fat in regular yoghurts. These are only examples to make you understand that counting calories is a waste of time.
If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you should get to know foods better. Learn which foods to eat during a weight loss diet, which foods you should eat seldom and which foods you should avoid.
The result: There are foods which end up having little to no calories the moment they reach your stomach and others which have little calories but will end in your fat-depots, which you don't want.
I could go on explaining why you can forget about counting calories, but I guess you understand that a calories counter is not really a help to lose weight.
How to find out which foods are good to lose weight and which not I will post in the membership area for Premium Members, where I will teach the "language of food". When you learn more and more about food, you will stop touching processed food, you will stop to eat too little to lose weight and you will change your eating habits and love it.
If you want to start to lose weight without counting calories, have a look at a
This fat loss program for Idiots I have tried and can say that it works. You have days you only eat protein (meat, chicken, fish, eggs, young cheese), days you eat good carbo (=vegetables without starch and fruit) and days you combine protein and carbo. You must not care about fat. You need fat to lose weight (more about fat in a later post).
