Thanks to scientific research we more and more understand the health benefits of vegetables. Phytochemicals found in fruits, vegetables and nuts, may help slow the aging process and reduce the risk of many diseases, including cancer, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, cataracts, osteoporosis, and urinary tract infections. Medicine used before pills came on the market, which seemed to make everything so easy – swallowing a pill is much easier and quicker as cook a tea, wait a few minutes and drinking it slow, not to mention that some herb-combinations do not taste very good. Thinking back: Our grand and grand-grand-mothers knew natural medicine, whereby they always had some of them in the house.


Why Fruits and Vegetables are Better Than Supplements – and they are much better

When you eat fruits and vegetables, hundreds of phytochemicals, well balanced and working as the whole composition, they are easily absorbed to provide the maximum health benefits. 

In contrast, supplements or pills contain large doses of only one or two phytochemical. These isolated supplements have not proven to be effective or even safe.

Phytochemicals in the fresh plant food may be destroyed by modern processing techniques, including cooking.
